After registering your drone, you still have to be aware of drone laws before taking flight. Currently, the FAA restricts drone flights within five miles of an airport. Professional and even recreational drone pilots can still fly within the five-mile boundary, but you’ll have to ask permission first. For hobbyist, or everyday droners, it’s pretty easy to get permission, but pilots who fly professionally must submit a waiver that needs to get approved.
